Every day The Salvation Army helps cure hunger by providing nutritious meals to neighbors in need.
Supplemental Food Shelf
As a satellite location for the Channel One Regional Food Bank, we’re able to distribute food to those in need. We’re open Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 115 First Avenue NE. Participants can come once per month to pick up food, except during the summer months when two monthly visits are allowed.
Lunch Program
A free lunch is served weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Worship and Service Center lunchroom located at 20 NE First Avenue.
Bread Pantry
Our guests are welcome to take free bread from our bread cupboard located at 20 NE First Avenue. Baked goods are collected from Hy-Vee Crossroads to stock our shelf at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday.

You can also conveniently donate online by clicking here. Both perishable (if new, not expired, and unopened) and non-perishable (not expired and unopened) food items are much appreciated. The most commonly needed food items are ground beef, canned meats like tuna and SPAM, breakfast cereals, canned fruits, and baking items like flour, sugar, and vanilla. Please call 507-288-3663 with any questions about our food and meal programs.
