Being connected to others socially is widely considered a fundamental human need, critical to both well-being and survival. Yet according to statistical reports, approximately 42.6 million adults over age 45 in the United States are estimated to be suffering from chronic loneliness.
Life is busier than ever, and many of us are balancing work, parenting, caretaking and other responsibilities. It's easy even when our lives are full to feel disconnected and alone. Some of us are walking through grief or hardship and simply need a shoulder to lean on or a sympathetic ear. We invite you to connect with neighbors and new friends, enjoy a meal, study Scripture together, and, if you love music, join one of our adult music groups. You'll feel right at home at the Omaha Citadel Worship & Service Center.
We offer a variety of ways for adults of all ages to enjoy fellowship together, including:
Songsters Adult Choir
Weekly practices Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. keep our adult choir prepared for contributing meaningful pieces in worship services.
Brass band members practice each Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and hone their skills for performance and accompaniment in worship services.
Bible Study Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.
Men's Fellowship Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
Sweet Life Cafe Women's Fellowship Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.
Each Fridays at 9:30 a.m., seniors are welcome to join us for a time of fellowship around the breakfast table to connect, pray and read Scripture while enjoying Omaha's top breakfast destinations.
