Please help provide Christmas toys for families with children in need this Christmas season.
The Salvation Army celebrates the birth of Christ by spreading His hope, love and joy to the less fortunate members of society. In fact, our gift-giving programs and fundraising initiatives are a direct answer to God's calling to care for the poor, hungry, sick, and displaced. From physical needs such as grocery, utility and gift assistance, to emotional experiences including holiday events and traditions, to spiritual guidance that provides healing and hope, we work to assist the whole person through gifts that serve the body, mind and soul.
During the months of November and December we take Christmas toy donations. You can drop off the donations at our facility at 302 E. Exchange St. Or you can donate monetary funds and indicate you want the money used to purchase Christmas toys for kids. If you are interested in donating please contact us at 989-725-7485. Monetary donations using your credit card, please call Joy our Development Director @ 810-232-1684.
You may also donate Christmas toys at our "Stuff A Blue Goose" Event in concert with the Michigan State Police. Check our Facebook page and local news for the location to drop off unwrapped toys for the Stuff a Blue Goose Event. It is held the first Friday in December each year.
We also collect Christmas Toys via boxes at local businesses in the area. Check our Facebook page for those locations. We also collect at Wal Mart in Owosso each year. You can drop off toys at these sites throughout late November and December.
Did you know you can donate Christmas toys through our "Registry for Good"? You can do this by visiting our Walmart Registry for Good, purchasing Christmas toys on the registry and completing your order. Then the items purchased are mailed to The Salvation Army Owosso to be given to children in need. Check our FB page for a link to the Registry for Good each year during Christmas season.
