Peoria Citadel Youth Center

The Peoria Citadel Youth Center provides a safe, encouraging environment for kids to grow, learn, and have fun together.

After School Program:

Monday - Friday
3:00pm - 5:00pm(middle school)
3:30pm – 5:00pm (grade school)
Open to children enrolled in grades K–8

Wednesday Youth Nights:

During the School Year: Students ages 5-17 can attend free music classes followed by dinner and character building classes starting at 4:30pm. Please contact us at (309) 682-8886 for more information!

Summer Day Camp:

Camp Starts June 9th
Monday – Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Open to children entering grades 1–8

Families interested in camp must register in person at The Salvation Army Peoria Citadel (2903 W Nebraska Ave).

A deposit of $25 is required to secure a spot in camp. Cost is $60 per week with a $10/week sibling discount for each additional child enrolling after the first and a $5/week discount if paying in full for the whole summer by the first day of camp.

Youth Mentorship Program:

Program Goals: To provide youth with one-on-one attention to promote healthy and positive development, and for mentors to be positive role models and personal cheerleaders for the youth in the program.

Details: Youth are paired with a mentor based on similar interests and hobbies and meet with their mentor at least one hour every other week. Mentor meetings will take place during after school program hours (weekdays, 3-5pm) at the Peoria Citadel (2903 W Nebraska Ave) and could include homework help, reading, crafts, games, learning life skills, talking about everyday life, and more!

Child Care Center

Our qualified and competent teaching staff can provide consistency in your child or grandchild's life.

The Peoria Child Care Center:

Open to all youth from Ages 6 weeks to 5 years old

Monday - Friday from 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Enroll your child today and our programming will help to develop their self-expression, foster positive self-esteem and connect them through communication and caring relationships with staff and other children.
