The Salvation Army Pontiac Corps Community Center Welcomes New Officers

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (March 8, 2021)The Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division is pleased to announce new officers to the Pontiac Corps Community Center.

Captains Will and Larisha Richardson serve as administrators and pastors overseeing business operations, programs, ministries and social services. Their pastoral responsibilities include preaching and visitation at the corps.

Both graduated from The Salvation Army College for Officer Training, located in Chicago, in 2012, where they cultivated their knowledge, capabilities, spirit and character to sustain and advance the mission of The Salvation Army at the community level.

"We look forward to serving as a resource for the community, as well as a light of hope for all those who walk through our doors,” said Captain Will Richardson. “We seek to help this community continue to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and provide consistent services for anyone who needs us.”

Prior to this appointment, Captains Will and Larisha Richardson served as the Midtown Corps Officers and Regional Social Services Chaplains for the Midland Division. The Richardsons have served as officers for nearly nine years and reside in Waterford Twp., Michigan.
