Five Lakes Silver Band Brings Christmas Cheer to Troy Red Kettle
Last-minute Christmas shoppers were greeted by a fun, festive, live performance by the Five Lakes Silver Band last week.
The band rang bells and played beautiful Christmas songs at the red kettle at the Kroger on John R. Road in Troy.
The Five Lakes Silver Band is an award winning, nationally acclaimed British-style Brass Band based in Royal Oak and is composed of brass and percussion musicians.
Their mission is to strive for musical excellence in performances, while educating and entertaining.
They continue the Brass Band tradition of contesting through their support of The Salvation Army, doing so by teaching music curriculum at local Corps Community Centers and The Salvation Army Great Lakes Division’s Echo Grove Camp & Retreat Center.
