Coats for Kids
Start your own winter coat drive in October!

Many children throughout Saginaw County go through the winter season under prepared for the harsh Michigan winter. Collection of gloves, mittens, hats, boots and scarves are also welcomed. You, your church, business or organization can take the lead on this one. We’ll even arrange to have gently used coats cleaned and distribute them with the new ones. The deadline for collection is November 15th..

Collection Drive Coordinator
Similar to our Coats for Kids program, you, your church, business or organization can design a collection drive that fits your unique interest and skill sets. Coordinate details of a one day or one week collection of winter clothing, canned goods, or toys.

Collect cash at work by having a jean day, or a bake sale with proceeds benefiting The Salvation Army Saginaw’s annual Christmas fundraising effort. Let us know what you would like to do, and we can assist with flyers, boxes, or a presentation to your organization.

Angel Tree
The Salvation Army Saginaw’s Angel Tree / Emergency Christmas Assistance effort aims to ensure that no child is without a gift to open on Christmas morning. We collect toys at various Angel Trees throughout the community, and distribute these toys to families in need.

Volunteer opportunities include:

Sponsoring an Angel Tree at your place of business or school
Supervising the Angel Tree at Fashion Square Mall
Pick-up/Collection of Toys (various locations)
Sorting Toys in our Toy Shop
Filling Bags with Toy Requests for Families
