$20 Red Kettle Challenge Announced

Dec 12, 2019 | by Carrye Jo Cony

SHEBOYGAN, WI (December 12, 2019) The Salvation Army is challenging the community to up their giving at the red kettles to twenty dollars this Saturday, December 14. Additional support is needed to accommodate for the loss of an entire week in the bell ringing season as Thanksgiving fell so late this year. A limited amount of matching funds are available during the $20 Challenge thanks to Johnsonville.

“There are so many who count on us for help, not only during the holidays, but throughout the year,” said Major Jay Davis, Corps Officer at The Salvation Army Sheboygan.  As of December 10, 2019, the community has generously donated $247,692, which is roughly 40 percent of the total Christmas fundraising goal of $595,340.
