"Hungry" is no way to spend childhood

Every day The Salvation Army helps cure hunger by providing nutritious meals to neighbors in need.

fighting hunger one meal at a time

Our Soup Kitchen serves lunch Mon-Fri, 11:30-12:30 - Other caring groups or individuals serve lunches Sat from the parking lot, 11:30-12:30, and Sun at 12.

Feeding those in Need

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in" Matthew 25:35

How we together can work to cure hunger

The Salvation Army of Shelby County provides free meals to the community seven days a week, along with serving meals to the children that attend our youth programs.  For many this might be the only meal that they get that day.

Our Soup Kitchen is open

  • Monday though Friday:
    • Coffee & Donuts - 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
    • Lunch - 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays are sack lunches - 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Sundays - 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Food Rescue

Do you work in a restaurant and are overwhelmed by the amount of food thrown away? Want to reduce that waste? We would love to help you rescue that food and feed it to those in need. We are health department-approved and our cooks are ServSafe trained so we know how to handle those leftovers.
