Volunteers provide help and hope to those in greatest need.

Volunteer

Volunteers are valuable assets in The Salvation Army's efforts to meet human need in the Sioux City area.

By giving their time and sharing their skills, volunteers make significant contributions to society every day. Their positive influence changes lives, uplifts families and strengthens our community. 

 

Our Greatest Volunteer Needs

  • Janitorial - We love our building and would like some help to keep it clean and safe. This includes lifting heavy items, being on your feet for long periods of time, cleaning, vacuuming and other responsibilities.
  • Food Pantry Assistant - Volunteers at our food pantry help sort and organize items, make food boxes and keep the pantry stocked and cleaned.
  • Receptionist - We are looking for an organized volunteer to greet visitors, answer phones, and help keep the office organized.
