Who We Are
The Salvation Army of Siouxland desires to deliver programs and services that help meet the needs of the poor, the lost and the hurting in Siouxland and to assure them that God loves them.
Our Local Leadership
Captain Karissa and Captain Zachary Zumwalt
Corps Officers / Pastors
Captain Karissa was ordained in The Salvation Army church in 2012. She has been an assistant pastor in Independence, MO and Waukegan, IL and most recently was the lead pastor along with Capt. Zac in Watertown, SD. Karissa is a Midwest girl and loves cheering on the Green Bay Packers. In her spare time, she enjoys a good cup of coffee, spending time with friends, or simply relaxing at home. Capt. Zac was ordained in 2017. He is originally from Kansas City, MO and enjoys city life. In his spare time, you will find Zac cooking, reading, and going for adventures! Together, Zac and Karissa love to geocache, watch movies, and spend time with their pets – Dakota (cat) and Ruger (dog). Zac and Karissa recently welcomed their first son – Theodore – and absolutely adore taking him exploring, seeing him smile, and hearing his contagious laugh.
