How we help provide housing

Rental Assistance
The Salvation Army Stevens Point offers a variety of rental assistance programs. Applications for rental assistance can be downloaded below. Once you fill out the application you can drop it off at 1600 Briggs St. in Stevens Point or email it to Suzanne Weis, SSO - Suzanne.Weis@usc.salvationarmy.org

  • Rapid ReHousing
    This program is funded by a grant through the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). It is designed for individuals experiencing homelessness and needing temporary assistance to obtain and retain housing. The primary focus is on providing participants with housing stabilization while linking participants to community resources through case management. 
     
  • Homeless Prevention Program
    This program is designed to provide financial assistance in an effort to prevent families and individuals from eviction, losing their homes, or becoming homeless. It is funded by a grant through the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD).
     
  • Tenant Based Rental Assistance
    This program is funded through a grant with the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). This program provides a rental subsidy to assist individuals afford housing costs. The program goal for participants in this program is self-sufficiency and participants engage in case management to achieve program goals.
