A Note from Brooke
The Salvation Army Turning Point Program was there for me when I decided to get help for my addiction issues in 2007. Then it was there for me again. And then it was there for me again. Again and again. I was what many people may have labeled as a "frequent flier" to treatment programs.
Their door was always open for me. When I returned broken and beaten, I was never shunned. I was never judged. I was never made to feel unworthy. I was celebrated and told, "never quit quitting."
On December 4 of 2013, I came into the Turning Point Program again. This time was different; something stuck and I haven't used any drugs or alcohol since that day. I am so grateful that Turning Point never shut their doors on me. Without them, I wouldn't be where I am today.
