Back to school

Aug 30, 2018

At this time every year, families across the country prepare for and begin another school year. As a part of your community, we do the same. We shift focus from providing camp opportunities, to providing after school opportunities for youth in our communities.

Salvation Army locations across the Midwest offer numerous services for children and teens throughout the school year, ranging from after school tutoring, weekly character-building programs, athletic opportunities, and more.

Not only do our programs help strengthen the educational experience, they also provide an environment that helps kids interact with one another in a safe, monitored environment. Most importantly, our programs allow kids to be kids. In some communities it is as simple as providing kids a safe place to do their homework.

Our programs not only help kids, they help families by alleviating pressures for families who don’t have the luxury of being together every afternoon.

It takes a village, and we love being a part of yours.
