Donate old books to your local library
If you’re musically inclined, visit a local nursing home and play music for the residents
Return grocery carts back inside the store for other shoppers
Hand out bottles of water to joggers/bikers/walkers at your local park
Buy a gift card at a local store and turn around and hand it to the person behind you in line
Drop off handwritten thank you notes to your local police and fire departments
Donate used clothes to The Salvation Army Thrift Store
Buy gift cards to a local book store and hide them in books throughout the store
Tuck happy notes in parked cars
Hand out balloons to children shopping with their parents
Drop off stuffed animals to a local children’s hospital
Tape change to a vending machine in a hospital waiting room
Bring in your neighbor’s empty garbage cans from the curb
Leave a small treat with a note for your letter carrier
Collect old towels, washcloths and newspapers to donate to your local pet shelter
Buy new school supplies and donate them to an urban school
