Donations Doubled on Giving Tuesday
The Salvation Army of Elkhart announces a special matching gift challenge presented on Giving Tuesday, November 28. Donations made at any of the eleven Red Kettle sites around the greater Elkhart area will be matched dollar for dollar thanks to a generous gift by Glass Doctor of Elkhart & St. Joseph Counties, 500 Baldwin Street, Elkhart.
The public will find the red kettles where donations can be made Elkhart Walmart stores, Kroger supermarkets, Martin’s Supermarkets, and Hobby Lobby locations. Along with cash, donors will also be able to donate using a QR code, and at limited kettle sites, a Tip Tap machine that allows you to “tap” your debit or credit card for one of the pre-set donation amounts.
Additionally, donations can be made to the Virtual Red Kettle, and online giving option that provides an opportunity to give back from the comfort of home. Donations support year-round programs and emergency assistance benefiting those in need in Elkhart and the northern half of Elkhart County.
