O’ Lord Hear Our Prayers

Dear Lord,

We call on You now to comfort us in our suffering. We are burdened and heavy laden. We need Your rest … Your peace … not as the world gives but the peace that passes all understanding and makes our fears flee!  May You be our refuge and strength in this troubled time. Help us Lord even as we experience anxiety to have confidence in Your Grace, Power and Love that is indeed transformational.

Give us courage to serve when and where we are needed most. We know Lord that courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else (in our case providing help and hope to folks in need and shining the light of Christ in the darkness) is more important than fear.*

We believe real courage Jesus, is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it.* Lord, for folks to have no fear as to what is going on is foolhardy. The courage is the admittance that there is risk in what we do ... not in foolish denial

The courage comes in the fact that we believe in what we do ... serving those vulnerable folks who are in such great need and are fearful as well. We trust You Jesus to see us through. Because … if not us… Then who? Here we are Lord ... send us ...

Protect those that we serve and protect us as we do so. May we be obedient to our Father’s will and hyper-vigilant with every safety measure we implement. May we be a light in the darkness.

You are the Author of Hope and Perfecter of our Faith. Shower us with Your blessings as we cry out for healing in our community, nation, and world. Heal broken hearts. Walk closely beside us during this perilous journey through the valley to a place of healing and recovery. Renew a right spirit within us as we know that if God is for us … who can be against us? The things that are not possible with men are possible with You Dear Lord. We pray believing …

Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we could ask or think … according to the Power that lives within us … we ask you Jesus  … we implore You Heavenly Father … O’ Lord hear our prayers!

In Jesus' Powerful and Holy Name we pray, Amen.

"While Women weep, as they do now, I'll fight; while children go hungry, as they do now I'll fight; while men go to prison, in and out, in and out, as they do now, I'll fight; while there is a poor lost girl upon the streets, while there remains one dark soul without the light of God, I'll fight, I'll fight to the very end!" -- William Booth, Salvation Army Founder.
