CHRISTMAS IN JULY - RIDE FOR THE RED KETTLE

JULY 6, 2023, Northern, MI- The Salvation Army of Petoskey raised over $6,000 on Saturday, July 1st during the Christmas in July Campaign and Ride for the Red Kettle. Bell-ringers and bikers could be found at multiple locations in Emmet, Charlevoix and Antrim counties in combined effort to raise money and awareness for others in need. Many came out to support the effort including dedicated community partners like the Boyne Valley and Central Lake Lions Clubs, Rotary Club of Little Traverse Bay Sunset and the Elk Rapids Rotary Club who rang an extra day for the 3rd year in a row.

“We are very blessed to live in such a kind, compassionate community that allows us to lift up and serve individuals and families when they are struggling to survive” says Corps Administrator Roman Hank. “Thank you for providing us the opportunity to expand our critical programs and services while we renovate a new Regional Community Center that will allow us to meet increased and increasing needs of our struggling neighbors for years to come”.

Money raised at Red Kettle locations stays in our local communities to provide basic human needs to struggling neighbors such as heat, electricity, rent, food, shelter, addiction recovery support, holiday assistance, child and senior programs and more.

If you missed the Red Kettles on July 1st, it’s never too late to give; we provide assistance year-round for those in need. Please visit SAPetoskey.org and click on “Donate” or drop-off or mail a check or money order made out to The Salvation Army of Petoskey at 712 Pleasant Street, Petoskey, MI 49770.
