The Salvation Army Traverse City strives to make a difference in our community.
Our focus is to meet the needs of families in our community. We do this through the Pathway of Hope program that helps families break the cycle of poverty, Youth programs that embrace children and character building, summer camp opportunities, music instruction and more. We also know hard times come to us all, and we have resources to assist in keeping families in safe warm homes, utility assistance, food baskets, emergency assistance and Holiday assistance.

UTILITY AND EMERGENCY NEED ASSISTANCE: From utility assistance to help with emergency needs through our Good Neighbor program, our goal is to keep individuals and families warm and safe and provide a bridge to hope in times of crisis. Learn more >>

PATHWAY OF HOPE: The Pathway of Hope program assists families with minor children to overcome intergenerational poverty. Families in the Pathway of Hope receive support from a caring team that helps them set and achieve their own goals. Learn more >>
YOUTH PROGRAMS: Children and youth in these programs build valuable skills that they will use throughout their lives. Our programs focus on positive youth activities and character building. The goal of the programs are to build positive social and communication habits, decision-making and life skills, and build character and leadership skills with Christian values. Learn more >>
HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE: The Salvation Army celebrates the birth of Christ by spreading His hope, love, and joy to less fortunate members of our community. In fact, our gift-giving programs and fundraising initiatives are a direct answer to God's calling to care for the poor, hungry, sick, and displaced. From physical needs such as grocery, utility, and gift assistance, to emotional experiences including holiday events and traditions, to spiritual guidance that provides healing and hope, we work to assist the whole person through gifts that serve the body, mind, and soul.
