Meeting Our Greatest Needs

Volunteer

Volunteer now to help us meet Linn County needs.

Volunteering is Fun and Rewarding

Almost 3.3 million people of all ages volunteered their time, talents, and resources to assist The Salvation Army's work. Our volunteers are critical partners in helping us fulfill our promise to America of "Doing the Most Good."

Volunteers are Important

Volunteers are a crucial part of The Salvation Army of Cedar Rapid's community service programs.

Volunteers tutor, teach, mentor, supervise children at play, coach, provide companionship for seniors, help with holiday baskets, serve on advisory boards, roll up their sleeves in times of disasters, clean, ring the bells during the Red Kettle effort, and much more.

If you have a special skill or passion that you would like to share, or if you simply want to help others but aren't sure how, we may have a job that is right for you.

Christmas

Have fun bell ringing in front of one of our area businesses by going to our special Red Kettle page to Register to Ring.
