Less than two weeks left, with more than $315,000 to raise for Red Kettle Campaign
The Salvation Army in Dane County started their annual Red Kettle Campaign in November with a goal of raising $525,000. With nine days left in the campaign, the non-profit needs to raise an additional $316,650 to meet their goal.
This campaign is the largest fundraiser of the year, and helps sustain programs provided by The Salvation Army all year-round, including emergency shelter for women and families, emergency disaster services, community center programming, programs that help folks move from homelessness to housing, and much more. Donations stay here in Dane County and support neighbors in need.
It’s a big task for our community, with the need to raise over 35 thousand per day to meet the goal. But, there are a few different ways for community members to get involved with the Red Kettle Campaign in the next week.
- Ring bells! Sign up for a shift at your local grocery or convenience store to ring bells by The Salvation Army Red Kettle. Without a volunteer at the kettle, donations can’t be accepted. This is a great opportunity to give without giving financially.
- Donate at the kettle! As you see a Red Kettle across Dane County, consider throwing in an extra dollar or two to help support the programs offered by The Salvation Army.
- Donate online! You can give to the Virtual Red Kettle by visiting: https://bit.ly/2021DaneCountyVirtualRedKettle
The Salvation Army thanks Dane County for all the support thus far. Together, we can Do The Most Good in Dane County.
