Help us as a volunteer or in a leadership & planning role: We envision a community where every individual's capacity for successful living is realized; where every individual feels valued, inspired, a vital part of this community with something uniquely theirs to share.  We are on a quest for creative, out-of-the-box thinkers to grow this vision and serve alongside us.

Other steps to help GOOD Grow

1. Spruce up our building. We have rooms that can use a “refresh” and seek sponsors interested in helping refurnish & repaint.
2.  Request a “virtual” meeting with us and let's talk about how we can work together to make Fond du Lac resilient through troubled times.
3. Organize a collection: Harness your inner “Collection Chairperson” at work, in your church, around your neighborhood, and help us fill the need for:
   • personal care/hygiene products
   • cleaning/disinfecting supplies
   • boxed/canned goods   
4. Help families celebrate birthdays and graduations: Create Celebration Bags filled with boxed cake mixes, frosting, party hats, paper plates, and candles.
5. Help adults get/keep jobs.  Help families keep supplied with necessities:   Donate “Gas only” cards in $10 amounts, bus passes, gift certificates for bikes, bike repair, vehicle repair, oil changes.
6. Create Your Own Online Fundraiser at FundraiseForGood.org, and make a powerful impact! With a few quick steps, you can create a fundraiser, set a goal, write your own story of why you’re helping, and then share it among friends, family, and acquaintances.
7.  Shop for others:
   • online & have the items delivered to our Corps office at 237. North Macy St. Donate through our Walmart Registry.
   • with local retailers/restaurants, purchasing gift cards for services and route them to us. These gift cards will help serve our clients and our economy.
8. Grow  impact:
    Encourage Others to Help. Helping our neighbors in need has always been a community effort, and that’s never been truer than now. So, if you are able to donate money or supplies and help our neighbors, please do so. And ask your friends and family to do the same. They may be looking for how to help and will appreciate hearing from you.
9.  Donate Social Media Posts. We support the causes we know and understand so help us share how The Salvation Army is helping. Consider posting about how you have donated and/or volunteered, or share a post from The Salvation Army of Fond du Lac Facebook. Tag us in your posts – we’d love to see! 
10.  Build Up the Treasures available at The Thrift Store: The Salvation Army Thrift Store is the place to donate any new & gently used goods - every item you share becomes a treasure to someone looking to outfit themselves, their family, and their home.
11. Donate Online or by Mail. The quickest and safest way to help those in need is to donate monetarily online at www.safdl.org or mail a check to The Salvation Army, 237 N Macy St., Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
