At the Salvation Army - Fox Cities, we know that feeding the person is the first step before you can feed the soul. Our goal is to positively impact the hungry and those in need in our community by offering a free lunch meal and having a food pantry to distribute canned goods and fresh produce. 

Food Pantry

Who Qualifies? 

If you live in the Fox Cities service area and need food, you qualify. To verify your income is within the threshold, check here. 

How Do I Sign Up? 

Please come to 130 E North St. between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM Monday through Friday. You will come to the front desk, and they will collect necessary information (household size, diet preferences, etc.). You will be able to receive food afterward at our on-site pantry. 

What Do I Need? 

For food only, no documentation is required. 

What will I get? 

Our volunteers pre-package your pantry items for you to pick up and take with you as soon as you arrive at the pantry. No items are guaranteed. You may receive dairy, produce, meat, and shelf-stable items, depending on donations and quantities. You are welcome to look through your bags and return items you will not use, but they will not be replaced. 

How Often Can I Get Food? 

You can come to the pantry twice a month. 

There Is a Table With Items On It. Can I Take What I Want? 

You are able to take what ever you will use from the tables. 

Will I Get Hygiene Items, Paper Products, Diapers, Pet Food, or Anything Outside of Food For Myself? 

For food-only pantry sign-ups, you will not receive non-consumable items or food related to animals, babies, etc. Please see the Hygiene tab.

What Do I Need? 

To apply for hygiene items: 

  • Photo ID for head of household 
  • Proof of Address 
    • Lease 
    • Current Utility Bill
    • Etc.
  • Verification of ALL other members of household (only one document needed, examples below) 
    • Birth Certificate
    • Social Security Card 
    • Current Health Insurance Cards
    • Current Tax Information
    • Etc.

What Could I Get? 

You are able to choose two items that are dependent on available supplies. Items could include laundry detergent, dish soap, body wash, lotion, toilet paper, paper towel, cleaning supplies, pet items, and more.

How Often Can I Get Hygiene Items? 

You can ask for two hygiene items once a month.

Children 5 and under, or with pre-verified circumstances.

Once completed, you will meet with a case worker to verify information and documents.

What Will I Get? 

When available, we typically have diapers Size Newborn to Size 7, Training Pants Sizes 2T/3T, 3T/4T, and 4T/5T, and Night Time Training Pants Sizes S/M and L/XL.

How Often Can I Get Diapers? 

You can ask for diapers once a month per child.

The Salvation Army - Fox Cities can provide bus passes or gas cards for two purposes. 

Health/Medical Appointments: Please bring proof of appointment to be given a bus pass or gas card. 

Job/Work: Please bring proof of job. We are unable to provide bus passes for interviews or any job-related things without proof of employment. 

If requesting a gas card, you must bring a valid driver's license as well as valid car insurance. 

Noon Meal Program

Our Noon Meal Program serves meals seven days a week thanks to generous donors and the many volunteers who serve a meal to those in need almost every day. These meals are free to anyone and require no registration. We serve meals at our Social Service Center, located at 130 E North St. Appleton, WI.

Sunday - Saturday: 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM - Excluding the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Good Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, The Day After Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day unless otherwise noted.
