Raising awareness and financial support for the programs and services
of The Salvation Army across the Fox Valley Region.
The Salvation Army River Ride is a bike ride along the picturesque Fox River Trail. This family-oriented event is meant to raise awareness and financial support for the programs and services of The Salvation Army across the Fox Valley Region, including Aurora, Elgin and St. Charles (Tri-City) Corps Community Centers.
Three lengths of suggested trails will be offered for expert, novice, and family riders, stretching from Aurora to Carpentersville.
The River Ride is so much more than a fun day on two wheels: every dollar you raise and each mile you ride provides critical support for those in need. Your registration fee provides meals, case management and other services for our neighbors in need. Just imagine what you’ll make possible when you secure pledges or fundraise by hosting a fun event. We hope you’ll take your impact up a gear by Riding and Raising for a Reason in 2019.
All attendees will be given the opportunity to fundraise. Sponsorships are also available.
If you are unable to participate, donations are accepted.

Since 1885, The Salvation Army has been a beacon of help and hope for the hungry and the hurting in the Fox Valley Region. Now, more than 130 years later, we continue providing critical support for struggling neighbors, offering life-changing services to those in need.
Each year, The Salvation Army serves thousands of men, women and children in the Fox Valley Region. The Salvation Army offers a variety of services including food and personal pantries, utility assistance, youth programs, long-term case management, spiritual support, clothing, furniture, and seasonal programs like the Angel Tree Program, Adopt-a-Family, and the Christmas Toy Shoppe. But, we can’t do it without help!
While The Salvation Army River Ride is a fun, family-friendly event, it is also so much more. Each mile you ride and every dollar you raise makes life-changing services available to those who need them most. Join us on Saturday, September 28 as we hit the trail and raise support.
We need your help to fill several remaining volunteer positions at The Salvation Army Fox Valley River Ride on Saturday, September 28th.
