KROC CHURCH TO HOST EASTER WEEKEND EVENTS

Quincy, ILThe Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center invites area community members to attend its Easter weekend events. All events are free and open to the public and will be held at The Kroc Center located at 405 Vermont Street, Quincy, Illinois.

Easter events begin on Friday, April 7, at 6pm with a United Good Friday Service. Three area Christian denominations will come together with The Kroc Church for this unique ecumenical service. Corps Officers Major Shelley McClintock, Captains Brandon and Megan Lewis, and local pastors will lead the service. The following community leaders will be speaking at the United Good Friday Service:

· Pastor Tom Rains – Quincy First Southern Baptist Church

· Reverend Carl Terry – Bethel AME Church

· Major Shelley McClintock – The Salvation Army

· Captains Brandon and Megan Lewis – The Salvation Army

The celebration will continue Saturday, April 8, at 10am with the Bunny Hop Easter Party. Celebrate Easter with treats, games, crafts, activities, and Bible lessons. This event is free and open to community children ages 12 and under.

Easter Sunday events will begin at 9am with an Easter breakfast in the Meadows. Easter Worship Service will take place at 10:30am in the Worship Theatre.
