Harbor House

Dec 1, 2019

Charles came to The Salvation Army Harbor House through the Respite Care Program (a partnership with Mercy and Cox Hospitals). He stayed for over a month waiting for his leg to heal. Upon completing the Respite Care Program, he was able to move into the full Harbor House Residential Program. While there, our staff worked with him, helping him to apply and start attending college full-time, where he will be getting his Mechanics Certification. In addition, we were able to assist him in applying for his disability, which was approved. Charles worked the Salvation Army program for six months, graduated and moved into his own apartment. He still checks in with us, giving us updates as to how he is doing!
