how did you first learn about the salvation army?
I have grown up in The Salvation Army. My parents were officers for over 30 years before they retired.
What made you want to become an officer?
What attracted me to become an officer was being able to minister to people of all ages. It's not one specific ministry but multiple ones.
What is your favorite part about being an officer at tsa?
My favorite part of being an officer at The Salvation Army is being able to share my joy for Jesus with everyone I meet. I love meeting new people, hearing about their life, finding new connections, and ultimately sharing the Gospel.
what has been your favorite experience with tsa?
One of my favorite experiences with The Salvation Army has been the opportunity to host Bible Study! I love digging into the Word of God and discussing the meaning behind the scriptures and how it applies today. I love small group discussion, walking beside each other's lives in the good and the tough times, knowing that we are not alone!
What is one thing you believe the world should know about tsa?
All are welcome! It breaks my heart when others are misinformed and think their lives are too messed up and that they are not welcome in our doors. This couldn't be further from the truth!
What are a few words you'd use to describe tsa?
Love, Joy, and Peace.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I wouldn't change one day of my officership journey. I am so glad I said yes to God in following this path of officership. It has led me on so many adventures and the opportunity to meet so many people.
