The Salvation Army Oak Creek To Host 'Peasant Lunch'
Proceeds to benefit youth programs
MILWAUKEE COUNTY – The Salvation Army of Oak Creek will be hosting its annual youth programs fundraiser on Tuesday, May 8.
The 'Peasant Lunch' will be held from noon to 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8 at The Salvation Army Oak Creek Worship & Community Center, 8853 South Howell Avenue in Oak Creek.
"We look forward to hosting this event each year," said Major Cornell Voeller. "Funds will be used to support dozens of children in our summer camp programs."
Lunch will consist of soup from a local restaurant and sub sandwiches from Jimmy John's. Here is what you donation will support:
-1 peasant lunch ($20): Sends three children to the Milwaukee County Zoo with The Salvation Army Oak Creek's Summer Camp
-4 peasant lunches ($75, 1/2 table): Registers a child in The Salvation Army Oak Creek soccer league
-8 peasant lunches ($150, full table): Sends five children to Mt. Olympus Waterpark with The Salvation Army Oak Creek's Summer Camp
