Joe Maddon's Annual Thanksmas Dinner

Jan 12, 2017

On January 12, the Chicago Cubs kicked off their annual "Cubs Caravan" at The Salvation Army Freedom Center in Chicago. Joe Maddon and the Cubs prepared a delicious Italian meal and passed out winter gear for free to hundreds of homeless individuals from the Humboldt Park community.

"There are a lot of people out there who need our help," said Joe Maddon.

Faces lit up around the room as members of the community exchanged kind words (and took selfies) with the Cubs players. It was surely a moment they will remember forever.

Ryan Dempster, former Chicago Cubs pitcher and current Assistant to the President, is counting on you to donate to his online red kettle. Proceeds benefit crucial local Salvation Army services and programs. All donors will be entered in for a chance to win a signed Cubs jersey!
