Local Celebrities Join The Salvation Army Ring the Bell
The 2022 Red Kettle campaign has come to an end, and thanks to the public’s generosity, programs for the entire year have been partially funded.
The Salvation Army’s efforts in the community don’t end at the holidays. 70% of Salvation Army funding comes through the Christmas campaign, which allows it to provide services such as shelters, food banks, after-school programs, summer camps, drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs, job assistance, and so much more all year round.
Every dollar raised stays in the community in which it was given.
This December, a number of local celebrities joined Salvation Army volunteers and employees to draw attention to the incredible need across our region and help fundraising efforts.
Celebrities like ABC 7’s Tracy Butler, Fox 32’s Corey McPherrin and Natalie Bomke, NBC 5’s Kye Martin, CBS 2’s Ryan Baker and Albert Ramon, Former Chicago Bear Chris Zorich, the Gaelic Fire Brigade and the Chicago Christian Fire Fighters all made time to ring the bell.
