Getting to Northwoods Camp should be a safe, fun, and exciting experience. We believe that your camper's first day at camp actually begins when they step into the car, van, or bus to camp. In the camper application, you will select whether your camper will be transported to and from camp by a parent/guardian or if you will arrange transportation with your local Salvation Army Worship and Service Center.
You may bring your camper directly to Northwoods Camp.
Drop Off
Standard registration and check in occurs from 2-4 PM. Please park your vehicle in the Redwood Parking Lot (by the pool). There will be a designated staff member acting as the Parking Lot Attendant to assist you. Registration and check-in will occur in the Cedar building. Parents/guardians and leaders dropping off campers will need to proceed through check-in with their campers and may not leave until all of their campers are checked in.
Please carry any medications or candy store money with you through the check-in process to give to the appropriate staff members but leave luggage in the car. After check-in you will be able to help your campers drop off their luggage in the cabins.
Pick-Up
PLEASE BRING A PHOTO ID WITH YOU TO PICK-UP
Standard pick-up will begin at 10 AM on the last day of camp. Please park your vehicle in the Redwood Parking Lot (by the pool). A Parking Lot Attendant will greet you and direct you to the check out window in Critters (the camp candy store). After we have confirmed which campers you are picking up a staff member will communicate with your child's Camp Counselor to dismiss them to the Redwood Parking Lot with their luggage. The Summer Camp Healthcare Manager will return prescription medications. Remaining candy store balances will also be returned at this time.
Please remain in the Redwood Parking Lot until you are cleared to go. Vehicles are not allowed to be driven up to the cabins.
Change in Pick-Up Person
If someone other than a parent/guardian listed on the registration will be picking up your camper, please call our Youth Department at 651-746-3400 or email them.
We are vigilant in ensuring the safety of every camper with assurances of high standards for both drivers and vehicles. By using our transportation, your child has the opportunity to make new friends and take part in fun games and songs to make the ride fun, enjoyable and most of all safe!
