Shiawassee Owosso Coats for Kids Drive 2023
The coats for kids drive 2023 is here! Can you help donate a coat for kids and adults in need this winter?
THE COATS FOR KIDS DRIVE BEGINS IN OWOSSO ON OCTOBER 10th
The Salvation Army Owosso will begin taking donations of coats for children and adults of all sizes on October 10th 2023 at local businesses in Shiawassee county. The Coats for Kids drive will proceed from October 10th through November 6th. Coats donated should be new or “like new” condition. The goal is to raise 250 coats this year in 2023! They will be taking donations of kids coats of all sizes, teen sizes, and adult sizes, with a need for big and tall sizes as well.
Distribution of the donated coats will begin on November 6th from 8:30 AM to noon, and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The coats will continue to be distributed as needed throughout the winter, ending in Spring. The Salvation Army is also taking donations of snow pants, boots, hats, scarves, gloves, and mittens.
The Salvation Army Owosso has twelve drop off locations where new coats and accessories may be dropped, including: Walmart Owosso, Ruthy’s Cleaners, The Salvation Army Business Office (at 302 E Exchange St.), Biggby Coffee, Fosters Coffee Company, Sherriff’s Office Corunna, Team One Credit Union, YMCA, Qdoba, Stifel Investment, Frankenmuth Credit Union, and Young’s Auto in Owosso. Look for the bin marked with the Coats for Kids logo.
The Salvation Army Owosso is asking local newspapers and media outlets to regularly share these drop off locations in their publications, to help raise the goal of 250 coats for kids and adults in need.
The Salvation Army Owosso invites the community to support those in need this fall season by helping children and adults to stay warm in the harsh elements.
