The Salvation Army of Racine, Fisk Johnson Partner for Annual Red Kettle Campaign

Dec 23, 2021

RACINE – The Salvation Army of Racine received a generous boost in donations this past weekend thanks to a match donation from Fisk Johnson, Chairman and CEO of SC Johnson.

For the second year in a row, Johnson pledged to provide a personal match on donations received at Salvation Army of Racine red kettles on Saturday, December 18. This year, a total of $50,169.35 was raised between 14 red kettles across Racine County, so Fisk Johnson was able to match that total at $100,338.70. Overall, the grand total raised for The Salvation Army of Racine that day was $150,508.05!

“We had a wonderful response to the Match Day this year and are extremely grateful for Fisk Johnson’s generous donation,” said Major Jeffery Russell with The Salvation Army of Racine. “The Salvation Army of Racine uses the funds year-round to serve the more than 10,000 community members who receive assistance annually. With these funds we can continue stocking the food pantry, continue sending children to camp, keep the Healthy Kids Diner meal program running and so much more.”

For nearly a decade, together Fisk Johnson and SC Johnson have supported the Red Kettle Campaign, totaling more than $360,000 in donations since 2012. Last year, Fisk’s personal match was almost $70,000.

The Salvation Army of Racine’s Red Kettle Campaign runs until December 24. To learn more about the Red Kettle Campaign and other ways to give, visit www.centralusa.salvationarmy.org/racine/ways-to-give/.
