Our iconic red kettles signal the start of the holiday season. Donations collected in these buckets support the services in your neighborhood. Bell ringers are both seasonal employees and volunteers. Learn more about Bell Ringing or Register to Ring today. Secure contactless giving is available with Kettle Pay, but the pandemic means there are fewer red kettles and fewer shoppers out and about. Thankfully you can donate any time you see the tap to pay logos! Plus, from September 14 - January 31st, help Rescue Christmas for Good by donating through our Online Red Kettle.
When you're struggling financially to care for your family, holiday gifts are often not feasible. The Salvation Army Angel Tree program allows donors to purchase gifts and clothes for families in need, making their holidays brighter. Be an angel for a family in need this Christmas.
We collect new or gently used coats and winter gear for families in need. For more than 25 years, The Salvation Army in Rockford has hosted the Koats for Kids Drive to collect and distribute new and gently used winter coats to needy children living in Winnebago County. If your group is interested in hosting a coat or winter warmth drive, please contact email@example.com.
The Salvation Army provides holiday meals for families unable to create a special meal themselves. Each box feeds a family of six, and includes meat, potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, biscuits, cake mix and more. Several community centers will have to-go holiday meals this year to provide Christmas spirit in a safe manner.
