Grandparent's Closet

Helping Grandparent's in financial need, provide Christmas to their grandkids. Everyone deserves to be a blessing by giving!

Helping Grandmas and Grandpas provide Christmas for their loved ones

Grandparent's Closet helped us to get gifts for my grandson that he wouldn't have gotten, including a nice blanket to use when he comes to our house that he keeps at our house, he loves his reindeer blanket! It was also nice to get wrapping paper, because buying that can also add up. With my husband being off work from surgery, and me being a student with a disability who is and not able to work, this was such a blessing for us to be able to give our grandson gifts that he may not have gotten otherwise.

How we help brighten the holidays

The Salvation Army of Whitley County has several programs during the fall, winter, and holiday seasons to help families in need. A few of the programs we have available are listed below:

Thanksgiving and Christmas Food
We offer Turkey's, Ham's and side items during the Holiday Season so families can have a celebration together!

Coats for Kids
We supply winter coats, hats, and gloves for kids (and adults) in need during the fall and winter.

Angel Tree
A program in conjunction with our local jail system.  Inmates who have children in our county, can register their families to receive Christmas Gifts given to their kids in proxy of them being able to do so.
