How we help
The Salvation Army of Kenosha desires to serve people in Kenosha County through various programs meant to help them overcome emergency situations that lead into the long-term obstacle of homelessness.
Our programs are designed to enable the recipient temporary relief while developing a plan to remain in their home. The ability to assist is limited to funds available and there must be eligibility requirements in order to apply for assistance.
Assistance is:
- only available to residents of Kenosha County registered with our office. If outside Kenosha County, please contact your local corps.
- distributed on a first come, first serve basis
- limited to funds available
- available only by appointment. You must meet with our Case Manager before receiving assistance.
Eligibility Requirements - you MUST:
- be a resident of Kenosha County registered with our office.
- have a valid ID
- have a current utility bill (& rental agreement if looking for rental assistance)
- be less than 3 months behind
- have a plan to continue future payments
- have a 5-day eviction notice (if looking for rental assistance)
- available only by appointment. You must meet with our Case Manager before receiving assistance.
