ACTIVITY: Consider joining us for a Lunch and Learn with walk-in times at 11am and 1pm. Join for a tour, presentation, and light lunch!

Our sponsors and supporters are crucial to our efforts here at The Salvation Army. This also includes our volunteers, donors, and those who support in ways that don't always end up in a statistic! Our volunteers, over 280, give their time and crucial help to all of our programs and services; they truly care about helping their neighbors. Our donors are so special to what we are able to offer to our residents and community to programs and services. Our supporters and their time and donations given to our efforts make community impacts. These donations and time come in the form of food for our meal program, pillows, blankets, and warming gear for our residents and community, gift cards for hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and drinking water for hot days, and so much more.

The La Crosse County community faces challenges that task The Salvation Army and partnering agencies to rise and support our community. We are appreciative of our close collaborative partnerships, referrals, and resources with other agencies in La Crosse. This week has been a celebration of The Salvation Army and all those who have enabled us to serve those in need and keep our mission and vision at the forefront of our work. Today we celebrate and recognize our La Crosse County community and all those who work to Do the Most Good. We celebrate everyone we've recognized throughout the week. We celebrate our residents and clients who are working toward the betterment of their lives. We celebrate the programs and services that enable better. We celebrate that we are truly on a Journey Together for good!

Why Do We Celebrate? 

We celebrate that we are building a stronger, more resilient, caring community. 

By providing shelter, food and meal programs, case management, hygiene products, housing assistance, financial resources, Thrift Store vouchers, community resources, and more, we are: 

  • Teaching individuals to be advocates for themselves 
  • Adding to their skillset and toolkit to be successful, longterm
  • Guiding clients to find wellness in their mental, physical, spiritual, and financial health 
  • Offering stability and support in their life after shelter (to be the ones people call)
