Day Camp runs from June 19th-August 18th 2017
Our program is designed for boys & girls entering 1st grade up to those entering 7th grade in the Fall. Day Campers entering 1st grade must show proof that they have completed Kindergarten.
Day Camp begins at 10:00am Monday-Friday and ends at 3:00pm
Cost is $110/ week and includes all fields trips and other activities.
Latchkey is available from 7:00am-10:00am & again from 3:00-6:00pm for an additional fee.
The Day Camp Program has a capacity of 200 children. Day Camp activities are conducted in two age groups children Younger Unit: Those entering 1st-4th Grade in the fall
Older Unit: Those entering 5th-7th Grade in the fall
Due to the active nature of the day camp it is expected that children will be able to function independently at a level appropriate for their age.
EVENTS
Each week the children's activities will include swimming, arts & crafts, special events, and field trips. Each camper is responsible to bring a cold lunch with them each day.
Transportation for field trips is provided by The SAL bus and vans, both of which will be driven by adults with the proper licenses.
Staffing
Our Day Camp is staffed by caring adults that love day camp as much as your kids do! We have an average of 10 campers for every adult staff member with more for the younger groups. All of our staff members are CPR/First Aid certified.
BIBLE SCHOOL
As part of our weekly curriculum, The SAL will be having a Bible school, 2 sessions a week. These sessions will teach truths from the Bible which will help the children in daily decision making, family life and friendships.
The Latchkey Program
Before/After care is available for parents who need it. The hours for summer latchkey are from 7:00-10:00 a.m.($30 a week), and from 3:00-6:00 p.m ($30.00 per week).
Latchkey fees are billed as the program is used so no down payment is required.
Please sign up for The Latchkey Program ONLY if you will be using the program. Because of our limited space, if you sign up for the program, you will be responsible to pay for the program whether you use it or not.
Counselor-In-Training Program
Our CIT program is available for previous campers entering 8th grade through 17 years old. CITs become assistants to our counselors for the summer. They get to attend all the field trips and activities with their assigned groups. It's a great way to learn leadership skills and/or earn volunteer hours for school.
Cost for our CIT program is $50/week plus any latchkey fees. New CITs need to fill out the CIT registration form and teacher recommendation form. Returning CITs only need to fill out the registration form.
CIT applications & recommendation forms are due with a 50% deposit by May 1st.
