Smiles Make the Greatest Gifts

Providing physical needs such as grocery, utility and gift assistance,
to emotional experiences including holiday events and traditions.

The Salvation Army's mission shines brightest at Christmas.

The Salvation Army celebrates the birth of Christ by spreading His hope, love and joy to less fortunate members of our community. In fact, our gift-giving programs and fundraising initiatives are a direct answer to God's calling to care for the poor, hungry, sick, and displaced. From physical needs such as grocery, utility and gift assistance, to emotional experiences including holiday events and traditions, to spiritual guidance that provides healing and hope, we work to assist the whole person through gifts that serve the body, mind and soul.

Please be aware that regular in-person services are temporarily canceled due to Covid-19; however, we will still provide services via phone appointments and carry outs; or you may apply for Holiday Assistance by clicking on the red button below. Please call (231) 347-3531 to schedule an appointment or if you have any questions.

Holiday Assistance Program

Each year The Salvation Army Petoskey Corps provides holiday assistance to hundreds of people from new born babies to elders in care centers. Everyone deserves to have food and comfort and know that they are loved. Our hope is that those we help will see the love of Jesus Christ through our actions. No one should be forgotten during the holidays no matter what age they are. If you or someone you know needs help, please check our event listings or call us during regular business hours at (231) 347-3531.

You can sign up for both Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance using the same online form (you only need to sign up once).
