Emergency Shelter to help those in need
The Salvation Army Emergency Shelter provides short-term emergency shelter for up to 64 persons experiencing homelessness. We serve individuals and families with children.
Our shelter intakes are between 8am - 8pm.
We operate on a first come, first served basis and availability changes throughout the day.
To access shelter, please call 608-782-6126 and ask to speak with shelter.
If you are unable to call, you can present at 223 N. 8th Street, La Crosse.
The purpose of the program is to assist each resident with finding long-term housing solutions in a holistic manner. While working with you secure permanent housing, we also assist with individualized case plans to increase economic self-sufficiency, reduce dependency on public assistance, improve individual living skills, address any mental or physical health concerns.
