I had been diagnosed with cancer but in order to receive my treatment, I needed a fair number of teeth removed. I had never taken care of my teeth and now they are standing between my treatment and death. I don't have dental insurance and I didn't know what I was going to do. The hospital called The Salvation Army and they gave me $4,000 worth of work for free and I was able to get the treatment to save my life.
The Salvation Army Jefferson County is excited to offer a dental clinic to Jefferson County residents who do not have insurance. We have served countless families through this program. Volunteers donate their time and talents to empower people with the smile they never knew they had.
This year alone The Salvation Army and volunteers provided:
$180,739 worth of donated dental services
$2844 donation to The Salvation Army
and 209 patients served
Totaling $1,000,000 in services returned to the community in 10 years.
The Salvation Army provides on-site dental care to those who do not have dental insurance and qualify. Please note that due to the large volume of clients who seek such treatment, there is a waiting list to receive this assistance. Appointments for our dental clinic can be made by applying online.
