How we help fight for justice
Road to Recovery
Jefferson County does not have a recovery center of its own. This does not mean people go unserved. The Salvation Army combats the injustice of addiction by transporting people in rehab centers. We have sent over 100 people to rehab in the last three years.
The Lord's Kitchen
Food insecurity is a reality for many residents of our community. We are fighting for justice by offering hot meals Monday thru Friday, breakfast, and lunch with over 3,500 meals served every month.
Helping Hands Dental Clinic
Operating for 10 years, our onsite dental clinic has saved lives by early detection of diseases, preventing the spread of infection, and restoring dignity. Giving back over $1,000,000 in dental services to Jefferson County we are committed to serving those who need it the most.
Homeless Prevention
The Salvation Army administered $12,000 in financial assistance last year to stop families from going homeless
