The Salvation Army administers financial assistance to Jefferson County residents to prevent homelessness. We believe the best way to solve a problem is prevention and intervention.
I was going to lose my home
The rent was due and I knew I didn't have the money in the bank to pay for it. We had a lot of medical issues this month and times were hard. I knew I was going to lose my home. I was going to be homeless with my family. The only thing I could think to do was call The Salvation Army. They were amazing and because of them I still have my home.
Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance:
Financial assistance for rent and utilities is available for those who qualify. Appointments are required for financial assistance. All application for assistance will be done online. Due to the high volume of people who apply for this assistance, the number of appointments in a month are limited and are made based on the order applications are received. Once you fill out your application our staff will be in contact with you to set up an appointment.
Housing Search:
Clients can work with our case manager to help with a home search. From connecting with landlords to helping establish a budget. We want to help you move into a better home!
