Disasters of incredible magnitude call for people of incredible generosity.

Strong Teams Build Strong Communities

With over 30 members across 7 counties, The Salvation Army is equipped to respond to events large and small.

The Salvation Army was there

The flood had filled our home and we were lost as to what to do next. I have never felt so helpless or hopeless in my life. I look up and see The Salvation Army truck driving past, passing out buckets full of cleaning supplies and a hot meal. They gave me hope that we could recover from this tragedy.

How we help disaster survivors

The Salvation Army of Jefferson County is active in combating disasters locally, regionally, and nationally with a team of 30 trained individuals ready to serve their community in a moments notice. From a 3 am house fire to a 3 pm flood, our team is there to provide relief to first responders and victims of disasters.

Mobile Canteen
Our mobile canteen can often be seen at the scene of fire providing hydration and snacks to first responders keeping them physically capable to respond to events.

Emotional & Spiritual Care
Trained team members are able to help families who have lost everything in a disaster. We also assist first responders process through traumatic events.

The Salvation Army EDS team is always accepting new members.  To learn about training opportunities contact us
