Building Skills for the Future

Head Start and Afterschool programs provide young children and their families a chance to learn in an educational and creative environment.

The Salvation Army empowers youth through Head Start & Early Head Start and Afterschool Programs

We give children throughout the area a safe haven to complete homework, play sports, learn music, gain new skills and nurture their talents. The programs also provide mentorship.

The Salvation Army located in Oak Creek provides high quality, Christian child care to hundreds of children throughout Oak Creek, Franklin, South Milwaukee and Cudahy every year.

Our Children’s University specializes in community child care year round with programs like 3K Preschool, 4K all day and wrap around care, 5K-8th before & after school care, Winter & Spring Break camp, Summer day camp, youth sports leagues and weekly character building programs. Why do families choose The Salvation Army for child care?

Before and After School Care

Our before and after school care is a wonderful opportunity for your children to interact with other children, and a valuable service to parents. Children can be dropped off as early as 6:00 A.M. and picked up as late as 6:00 P.M. We provide transportation to and from school each day for schools in the Oak Creek-Franklin Joint School District.

Before School Schedule

Truth is, nobody really has a schedule in the morning. The chore of getting your children up and ready for school is enough of a chore for any parent. Therefore, when you drop your child off we provide a safe environment for them to begin the day, offer them some breakfast, remind them to check their homework, and take care of getting them to school on time.
