We fight poverty with Hope

By providing programs that serve the body, mind and soul, The Salvation Army helps alleviate the symptoms of poverty - and works to address the root issues that cause it.

How we help overcome poverty

The Salvation Army believes in meeting the basic needs of individuals and families, young and old. These basic needs include food, clothing, shelter and household needs. While meeting the physical needs, The Salvation Army staff also offer hope and guidance to those coming in for services. The following programs are available.

Food Pantry
Our Food Pantry is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am - 12:00pm.  An emergency supply of food is shared based on family size.

Emergency Assistance
Depending on the funding available, we may also be able to help with clothing, furniture and appliances, household items, transportation, lodging, medical or utility assistance. Each service has eligibility requirements, such as residency and/or proof of identification. Some services have time limits and income eligibility requirements. All requests for emergency assistance are handled by appointment. Contact our office at (414) 762-3993 to learn more about our basic needs programs.

Pathway of Hope
The Salvation Army offers holistic and strengths-based case management services to families with children who have a desire to take action to break the cycle of crisis and attain a level of increased stability. Families will work in partnership with their case manager and ministry staff to develop an action plan as well as assess their strengths and progress while receiving support and encouragement to reach their goals.

Seasonal Assistance
Various challenges come up for families in need during particular seasons of the year.  That's why at The Salvation Army we have specific seasonal assistance programs such as Back to School Supplies, Coats for Kids, Christmas Toy Shop and more.  Give our office a call at (414) 762-3993 to find out more about those helpful programs throughout the year.
