Enhancing & Enriching the Lives of Seniors Image

Enhancing & Enriching the Lives of Seniors

By focusing on activities for the mind, body, and soul we hope to foster an environment to create new and lasting memories for Older Adults and their loved ones.

A Special Place for Seniors

The Salvation Army Oak Creek Senior Center strives to enhance and enrich the lives of Seniors by focusing on activities for the body, mind, and soul while fostering an environment to create new and lasting memories for Seniors and their loved ones.

Addressing the growing crisis of Senior isolation and lack of resources

According to a recent study found in the "Journal of Health Disparities Research and Practice", by the year 2035, for the first time in U.S. history, individuals over the age of 65 will outnumber those under the age of 18. This group of older adults also has a greater scope of unmet needs such as healthcare, transportation, housing, education, social support, and financial security.

How we help Seniors

Our Senior Center program has been uniquely designed to help address the growing crisis of senior isolation and lack of resources to prolong independence among this older demographic. This is accomplished by facilitating all-inclusive, handicapped-accessible programming that focuses on care for the body, mind, and soul of its participants.  Offerings such as health screenings, art classes, financial planning, exercise classes, immunization clinics, bible studies, outings, and social activities will be catered to the specific benefits of seniors. A meal program and onsite food pantry will also be available for those who suffer from food insecurity.

The Salvation Army Oak Creek Senior Center is open on Monday-Friday, from 9:00am-2:00pm.  A monthly calendar of events can be found below.
