Giving Hope to Those Battling Addiction

Giving Hope to Those Battling Addiction

Our Adult Rehabilitation Center puts lives and families back together.

Donate Goods

More than 6,500 people are hospitalized for substance abuse each day in the U.S.

Often substance use disorders are kept hidden, leaving individuals alone trying to break the chains of addiction.

Alcohol and opiate drug addiction is an epidemic across the United States, including right here in the Omaha metro.

Our goal at the Omaha Adult Rehabilitation Center, located at 2551 Dodge Street, is to minister to the whole person by providing comfortable, safe housing and addiction recovery services at no cost. The physical and spiritual care that program participants receive prepares them to re-enter society, return to gainful employment, reunite with their families and resume a normal life.

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Center in Omaha helps individuals abandon substance reliance through:

Counseling and support groups

Program members learn to abandon substance reliance through one-on-one and group counseling with licensed substance abuse counselors. Support groups like Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, work therapy and spiritual counseling help individuals recover by being in an encouraging environment with peer support.

Education and job training

Because our ultimate goal is for individuals to successfully reenter society, our rehabilitation program offers the tools and training needed to find and maintain employment. Individuals are equipped with anger management training, chemical dependency education, relapse prevention classes, job training, and referrals to GED programs and employment opportunities after graduation from the program.

Housing

A key component of our Adult Rehabilitation Center is to provide program members with a safe and comfortable place to live. Nutritious meals as well as recreational and social activities allow residents to socially with peers.

Spiritual sustenance

Our rehabilitation program ministers to the whole person, which is why we emphasize Christian education and development of a rich spiritual life. Our hope is that each individual will develop or deepen his relationship with God.

You can help combat addiction and restore families.
